Coconut and cassava dumplings are found and bought a lot in the streets of Madagascar. Since we can not all have the privilege of travelling there to enjoy their lovely taste, we should rejoice in the fact that we can now make them at home with this recipe 🙂

Coconut and cassava dumplings – Ingredients

800 g of grated cassava
100 g of grated coconut
120 g of sugar
100 g of butter
1 egg
Icing sugar

Coconut and cassava dumplings – Preparation

  • Pour in a terrine, the grated cassava, grated coconut, the sugar, the egg and the soften butter
  • Mix to obtain an homogeneous
  • Make out balls from this dough and fry in hot and clean oil
  • When the dumplings are golden, drain and put down on a plate covered with absorbing paper
  • Let them cool and sprinkle with icing sugar
  • Serve
