These dumplings are bought a lot in the streets of Madagascar. You can now make them at home with this recipe 🙂

For 6 people
Preparation: 10 minutes
Cooking: 20 minutes


800 g of grated cassava
100 g of grated coconut
120 g of sugar
100 g of butter
1 egg
Icing sugar


  • Pour in a terrine, the grated cassava, grated coconut, the sugar, the egg and the soften butter
  • Mix to obtain an homogeneous
  • Make out balls from this dough and fry in hot and clean oil
  • When the dumplings are golden, drain and put down on a plate covered with absorbing paper
  • Let them cool and sprinkle with icing sugar
  • Serve
