Boiled Cassava Roots



Fresh cassava roots, water and salt (optional)


  1. Bring salted water to the boil in a saucepan.
  2. Wash, peel and cut into serving-sized pieces fresh cassava roots
  3. Add the cassava tuber pieces into the water
  4. Cook until tender/soft… it should take 15 to 25 minutes for 6 cassava roots, depending on their size. You can pick the cassava with a toothpick or a fork to check  or taste. It should take
  5. Serve with sauce/stew.
